The beautiful and imaginative set remained on the stage for the whole thing, although they did move the pieces around between acts. This is one of the few operas with a happy ending, and to celebrate, hundreds of fireworks were sent sparkling up into the warm, dark velvet night. Lovely!
What's in the Pantry? Some sweet memories, a few vinegary observations, a couple of crusty comments and several pounds of lard (it's that diet again). And if all those words are too much, there's lots of pretty pictures.

One evening, as I was walking around Piazza Bra, I spotted an unusual window display. It looked as if the bags had sprouted geese legs.
Taking a closer look, I realised that that was indeed what had happened.
What could it mean, I wondered. Were they saying that their ridiculously expensive handbags were the Golden Goose that laid the Golden Egg?
