What's in the Pantry? Some sweet memories, a few vinegary observations, a couple of crusty comments and several pounds of lard (it's that diet again). And if all those words are too much, there's lots of pretty pictures.

Fields in winter.
Summer is naturally pretty, but winter has it's own beauty. Here are some pictures I took today by the River Stour, near Christchurch. Lot's of rain here recently.

Throop Mill
The walk follows the river for a way and then you go across the fields. As you can see from the photos, the sun is still AWOL around here. It's been raining a lot too, so the walk was quite muddy when I went on Monday. But I didn't get my boots mucky, despite Irene threatening to give me a shove into the mire. She's just jealous because I have the cleanest boots in Bournemouth!
That's not a brown and white Jaws in the water, it's Pebbles, the Springer Spaniel. Bet she wouldn't be so keen to get in there if that was a bath.
There are lovely colours around at this time of year- here's a some berries I saw, on the side of an old farm building.
