Daffodils seem to have erupted out of the ground, the crocuses have raised their regal purple heads, snowdrops are sleepily nodding and the air is vibrating with lots of nicely noisy birds.
What's in the Pantry? Some sweet memories, a few vinegary observations, a couple of crusty comments and several pounds of lard (it's that diet again). And if all those words are too much, there's lots of pretty pictures.

Thanks for a glimpse of springtime in England.
Here in New York I was excited to see the first snowdrops and croci this week. No sign of daffs yet but I know they are there somewhere :-) can't wait.
I see non of that outside my windows. Spring has not sprung in Southern Ontario as of yet but they say it's coming. First we must get past the snow mixed with rain forecast for Tuesday.!!!
As usual you've painted lovely word pictures, Maggie, and pictures to match.
Besides making awesome Yorkshire's you're doing very well with words and this blog thing.
Well, you may have to put up with English winters to get there, but spring in England is such a magical thing! I've never been anywhere there are such gorgeous sights tucked around all over the place. Thanks for the photos!
love, Caro
