Marbella 2012

It always amazes me that statues by Salvador Dali are on display in the centre of town. There's no guard, you can walk up and touch them, climb on them- and they must be worth a fortune. Don't think they'd last long in the UK. Metal thieves would have them. Perhaps it's because the Spanish cops are a scarier prospect than the British police. Anyway, this is called Gala Diva and it's one of my favourites- it's very graceful and delicate- and although it's cast in bronze, she seems to fly.

Wow, great to see art undamaged and appreciated. The Dali one would be scrap metal right now in LA.
